Susan and her family have been members of Wesley Memorial for many years. Susan has served in a variety of roles in the congregation, including over 20 years as a teacher in Wesley’s preschool.
I first came to Wesley as a shy fourteen-year-old girl. I was new in Cleveland, but I knew I needed a church home. I found it at this church. Over the years I have learned so much and my faith has grown. I am so very thankful for the pastors, teachers, and friends who have taught me through example what faith in Christ looks like. Some of those people have moved on to other places and some have moved on to the Church Triumphant. I am thankful for them all.
It is my hope and prayer that Wesley and those of us who find a home here will continue to take Jesus with us into this world and that we will continue to welcome those who come here. It is for us to love those who walk in the doors of this church and also to love those who never will. I know of no greater legacy than that.
Loving God, guide us during this season as we seek direction for our present and future. We thank you for the witness of those who have gone before us, and pray that our legacy shall be love.
