We Believe in Service.
Our congregation seeks to serve in our local community and greater world. Outreach is about opening our hands to those in need around us with the good news of Jesus. Through our actions of serving immediate needs, we can demonstrate the transforming love of Jesus Christ. In addition to a ‘Discretionary Fund’ that is supported by members of our congregation and used to assist those in economic hardship, we have three main community outreach ministries:
Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry operates twice weekly, offering essential food items to families in need.
You can give online by designating, ‘Food Pantry’ with your gifts. Also, canned food items, peanut butter, and boxed cereal are staples that we can always use .
Contact our main office (423) 472-9578, if you are interested in serving in our Food Pantry. Our hours of operation are: Mondays & Thursdays, 9-Noon.
Homeless Outreach

Our Homeless Outreach team currently goes out into the community twice weekly (and often more), distributing essential items to our homeless neighbors. We also have teams of individuals who come weekly to pack bags for distribution, and organize supplies donated.
Our Homeless Outreach uses seasonal types of clothing items. This ministry uses bottled water, and pop-top cans of spaghetti and macaroni, and vienna sausages. Also, food cards that can be used at locations such as Taco Bell, McDonalds, and Waffle House are extremely beneficial!
You can give online by designating funds for ‘Homeless Outreach’. Also, we encourage being a part of our Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee Club, by bringing pop-top cans of spaghetti and meatballs.
Our Homeless Outreach is also in need of an individual who can assist in using social media to help communicate about our mission and need.
Contact our main office (423) 472-9578 to get in touch with those who lead our Homeless Ministry if you are interested in serving with this ministry.
Sack Pack

Our Sack Pack ministry provides around 900 individually packaged food bags weekly for students in Cleveland City School. These bags contain food supplement and replacement items for students to have over the weekend.
Most of the food distributed is bought in bulk, so you can always donate online by selecting ‘Sack Pack’ from the giving options.
Groups of volunteers come in weekly to pack bags for distribution, and others serve as delivery drivers to local schools. Contact Diana Whittle through our main office (423) 472-9578, to let us know if you are interested in serving with this ministry.
